Howard Lieberman, CEO
Howard Richard Lieberman, Chairman of the Silicon Valley Innovation Institute, is a serial entrepreneur and innovation practitioner in industry, academia and government. Mr. Lieberman has consulted to or managed teams for DARPA, the US Air Force, and more than a dozen Fortune 500 and smaller companies including 3Com, Altec Lansing, Apple, Amdahl, ASCII Corporation, Bose, Boston Acoustics, Cienna, Ensoniq, Fishman Transducers, Harman International, JBL, Kurzweil Music Systems, Martin Guitars, Sony, Sun, Taligent, Tektronix, Walmart, Webcor, XL Insurance and Zenith. Mr. Lieberman has also been a College Dean, Professor of Physics, and Electrical Engineering, and Innovation Management, for Cogswell Polytechnical College where he founded their MBA program in Innovation Management. He has chaired a Summit on the Globalization of Technology and SCI3, the Sunnyvale Center for Innovation, Ideas and Invention.
After completing university programs in both Physics and Electrical Engineering, with graduate work combining artificial intelligence, acoustics and digital signal processing, Howard spent fifteen years working for two large technology companies, Bose and Apple where as an electro-acoustician he managed to professionally combine music and technology to pioneer multi-billion dollar markets. As an involuntary innovator and energetic multi-instrumentalist, Howard has also found the time to perform over 1000 times in the last 30 years as a jazz artist.
Jeff Wesnofske, Chief Operating Officer
For the past 26 years Jeff has been involved with the investment world. After receiving his MBA from Boston College, he was hired as an economic statistician by an investment research firm. He later went on to become a successful propriety trader for the Bank of New York. While there he developed a breadth of product knowledge specializing in fixed income and derivatives and a sophisticated understanding of financial product relationships and risk management. Recently, his latest role included running the trading area for an RIA. In that role Jeff developed a trading platform customized to needs of the RIA and was involved trade execution, allocation and policy decisions.
Among other areas of expertise: substantial capital markets experience working for leading financial institutions. Jeff also has gained experience on the sell side as a Financial Advisor working for a major retail broker and execution and trading of various U.S. and foreign financial derivatives (including German DAX, Bund and major FX currencies for a hedge fund).
Calvin Rose, Chief Investment Officer
Calvin Rose brings a unique combination of financial planning, fundamental financial analysis, mathematical modeling, and portfolio design expertise to Clear Capital Management. For 29 years, this unique background has enabled him to create portfolio designs better suited to investor needs.
Calvin has a Master’s of Science degree in Physics with an emphasis on empirical modeling of complex systems. His early work focused on the acoustic measurement and modeling of Steinway pianos for CBS, Inc. to better understand why they produce a superior sound and musical experience.
Eric Rosenfeld, Chief Technology Officer
For the past 20 years, Eric has focused his efforts on using mathematical techniques to select top performing stocks, measure market risk and manage portfolio dynamics. As the advocate for mathematical rigor and the scientific method in Clear Capital's Investment Strategy development process, Eric has been instrumental in the development of modeling and simulation tools for evaluating and doing due diligence on different investment strategies. Eric has also developed new strategies to measure market risk that are the foundation of Clear Capital's Market Risk Indicator.
Eric has a BS and an MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and his studies provided a wide background in mathematical and analytic techniques. Before co-founding Clear Capital Management, he used algorithms and metrics to design the Interval 4.0 software package at Bose Corporation, which allowed engineers to quantify and evaluate acoustic performance, helping to make Bose a worldwide leader in audio technology; and developed state-of-the-art Digital Signal Processing techniques for testing integrated circuits. He holds multiple patents.
